Spring 2004 -- First Look Media will be distributing the movie as "The Gunman" in the US. Look for it starting June 15. November, 2003 -- The film is being sold worldwide at the MIFED film market in Milan, Italy. I will be announcing the territories sold soon! August 17, 2003 -- Announcing the new distributor for "A Promise Kept"! Curb Entertainment (www.curbentertainment.com) has acquired worldwide rights. August 11, 2003 -- We had an incredible screening in Austin at the Paramount Theater and had over 800 people attend. I can't thank everyone enough for all their help and support. July 7, 2003 -- Announcing the Austin Screening of the film! It will be at the Paramount on Congress on August 11, at 7pm. For RSVP or tickets, please contact me. July 1, 2003 -- I am hoping to announce a few things soon, like who will be distributing the movie and when will that big Austin screening be? In the meantime, I have some music you can listen to. June 17, 2003 -- Memphis screening went really good. We also received a couple more offers from Distribution... one offer came right when the end credits were rolling. At least gave me something to talk about to the investors at the screening. June 5, 2003 -- The two distributor screenings went well. Now we work the phones and wait for calls to see who is interested. June 2, 2003 -- We are finished with the movie and are heading to LA for a round of distributor screenings. We are hoping to pick up our distributor in the month of May. April 14, 2003 -- ADR in LA. "ADR" stands for Additional Dialogue Recording. This is where for various reasons, you need to re-record the actors saying their lines. It's pretty much done in every single movie. We also were in the film lab to take a look at the first silent pass of the film. It's looking pretty good. It's hard at this point because it's almost coming together and you want to see the final now. March 24, 2003 -- The edit was lock a week and a half ago. DRM Productions has begun the sound design and Video Post & Transfer are working on the main titles and special optical effects. Chris Weber in Burbank os cutting the negative. March 9, 2003 -- I am hoping to lock the edit next Friday which means that sound people can get busy on the sound track. February 2003 -- Edit, edit, edit. Everything is looking good. The film is now 91 minutes (without the end credit roll). We have been sending out a promo short version to potential distributors and have been extremely encouraged by the response. January 6, 2003 -- Shooting resumes. We're sluggish at first, but things go smoothly. Cold weather besets us for half of the shoot and we wrap on January 18. January 17th was the coldest night of the year and yup, we were outside for all of it. I remember the G/E (grip and electric) guys scrapping ice that had condensated off the dolly and crane. December 7, 2002 -- Shooting begins in Austin. Weather is incredible for this first half of shooting. We wrap for the holidays on December 21.
